Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park and Reserve
The Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park and Reserve is a 1,500-acre private reserve owned and maintained by the Ecological Foundation. The Park and Reserve are set aside for scientific research, conservation of native and endangered species, and recreational activities of our guests.
The Ecological Reserve is comprised of a network of trails that lead to 12 freshwater lagoons and provides habitat for an abundance of birds, reptiles, insects, and other local flora and fauna. The Ecological Park is an interpretive trail that features distinct attractions related to the natural and cultural history of the island, including an iguana habitat, petting zoo, sugarcane exhibition and a fruit tree garden.
Horse Back Riding
For novices and experts alike, El Rancho at Puntacana Resort & Club offers memorable rides throughout the resorts lush landscape, including a crossing at P.B. Dye’s magnificent La Cana Golf Course. Also, we offer one and two hour beach rides daily and a romantic hour-long weekly sunset adventure. For newcomers, we’ve prepared a special ride called Meet Puntacana, a unique tour of our beautiful resort.
As a new service to our guests, we are now offering adult riding classes for beginners. Learn the basics in horse care and riding; then test your new skill on one of our beach tours. For the younger horse fans, our ponies and school horses are ready to teach them all they need to know about the great sport of riding.
